Data Retention Policy

1. Our Core Principle

Your manuscript text is never stored on our servers.

We collect and retain only the minimum data necessary to provide the service. This policy explains exactly what we retain and for how long.

2. Manuscript Content

• Retention period: Not retained. Manuscript text is processed in real time and never written to disk or database.
• Session data: Editing session metadata (book title, voice score) is cleared automatically after 48 hours.
• Anthropic API: Text sent for processing is deleted within 7 days per Anthropic's API data handling terms.

3. Account and Payment Data

• Email address: Retained for the duration of your subscription and up to 2 years after for legal and accounting purposes.
• Payment records: Transaction IDs and amounts retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law (GST compliance).
• Card details: Never stored. Handled entirely by Razorpay and Stripe.

4. Waitlist Data

Email addresses submitted to the waitlist are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us.

5. Log Data

Server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps, error logs) are retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes. Logs are automatically purged after this period.

6. Deletion Requests

To request deletion of your personal data, email us at publisher@subhalatech.com. We will process your request within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
